Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • willing to comply with The Village's vaccination preference
  • must be able to follow instructions and work efficiently
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Provide fast, efficient, friendly service to everyone
  • know the daily and weekly menus and keep descriptions positive and enthusiastic
  • take residents orders, gather drinks and appetizers in the pantry, and serve items in an efficient and timely manner
  • keep tables clear of dirty dishes and remain available to residents at all times
  • ensure residents receive entrees and desserts in a timely manner
  • check on residents at least three times during their visit to ensure satisfaction
  • buss and reset section, complete daily sidework
  • take on pantry, hostess, or expo duties when needed
  • be a team player
  • avoid personal conversations while serving residents or guests
  • ensure section appearance and order before and after serving
  • use time effectively to complete duties according to schedule
  • understand and achieve goals
  • correct deficiencies promptly
