Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar serving role
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic math skills for handling payments
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Familiarity with POS systems
Job Duties
- Take and deliver customer orders and input into POS system
- Check with customers often to ensure they are enjoying their meal and take action to correct any problems
- Maintain tables by removing dishes and glasses
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
- Up-sell drinks and desserts
- Check identification to ensure minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Finalize guest checks
- Relay all guest compliments/complaints to appropriate supervisor
- Maintain required side work on assigned workstation
- All other duties that may be assigned
