Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar serving role
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic math skills for handling payments
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Familiarity with POS systems

Job Duties

  • Take and deliver customer orders and input into POS system
  • Check with customers often to ensure they are enjoying their meal and take action to correct any problems
  • Maintain tables by removing dishes and glasses
  • Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
  • Up-sell drinks and desserts
  • Check identification to ensure minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • Finalize guest checks
  • Relay all guest compliments/complaints to appropriate supervisor
  • Maintain required side work on assigned workstation
  • All other duties that may be assigned
