Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or related
  • Minimum 5 years of quality management experience within manufacturing
  • Food industry experience preferred
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • SQF, HACCP, and PCQI certifications required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Certifications in SQF, HACCP, and PCQI
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus

Job Duties

  • Ensure effective food safety compliance and implement risk mitigation programs
  • Support food safety and HACCP programs and ensure GMP, preventive controls, and prerequisite programs are effective
  • Support quality systems including QC and QA, act as SQF Practitioner, develop and align procedures with global standards
  • Conduct internal audits against standards and site procedures focusing on continuous improvement
  • Enforce manufacturing standards for ingredient/product standards, process specifications, formula compliance, sanitation, and pest control
  • Support site inspections and audits including FDA, CFIA, organic, Kosher, and customer audits
  • Track and trend KPIs, support quality improvement plans, apply RCAAP for process improvements
  • Manage customer complaints by leading root cause analysis and corrective action verification
  • Develop and maintain a qualified Quality and Sanitation team through training and accountability
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and technical skills for problem resolution and act as technical liaison with customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies
