Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or preparation preferred
  • basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical stamina for standing, lifting, and carrying
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant standards and procedures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • ensure quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner
  • prepare and assemble food orders quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste
  • keep the line stocked, neat, clean and safe
  • carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply areas to tables
  • read tickets and prepare all food items following standard recipes within specified time limits
  • prepare recipes and plate presentations according to tickets
  • pass out food dishes to guests by seat number
  • locate items requested by guests
  • prepare assigned food items
  • wash and clean raw food products
  • peel, dice, shred and slice food products for garnishments
  • clean up spilled food, drink or broken dishes and remove trash
  • serve food to guests when servers need assistance
  • maintain adequate supplies of linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays
  • clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas
  • mop or vacuum floors
  • stock garnishments, condiments and other items on expo
  • respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate requests to servers
  • attend scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
  • coordinate and assist fellow employees to meet guests needs and support restaurant operations
  • fill-in for fellow employees as needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
