Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Ability to follow recipes and food safety protocols
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Ensure quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner
  • Prepare and assemble food orders quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste
  • Keep the line stocked, neat, clean and safe
  • Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from kitchens or supply areas to tables
  • Read tickets and prepare food items following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits
  • Prepare recipes and plate presentations according to tickets
  • Pass out food dishes to guests by seat number
  • Locate items requested by guests
  • Prepare assigned food items
  • Wash and clean raw food products
  • Peel, dice, shred and slice food products used for garnishments
  • Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove trash
  • Serve food to guests when servers need assistance
  • Maintain adequate supplies of linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, or trays
  • Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas and mop or vacuum floors
  • Stock garnishments, condiments and other items on expo
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate guest requests to servers as needed
  • Attend scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests needs and support restaurant operations
  • Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
