Job Requirements

  • Complete open availability including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be part of union Local 30 and comply with collective bargaining agreement
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job including standing and carrying trays
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and guests
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently when required
  • Must comply with all Hilton and Hotel del Coronado policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and evenings
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards in food service

Job Duties

  • Assist food server(s) with table service, including, but not limited to, serving beverages, breads, transporting meals, etc.
  • Set and prepare tables for dining, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning and placing tableware, serving water, etc.
  • Ensure tableware is in good and working condition and report any defects for repair
  • Stock, maintain and clean designated food station(s)
  • Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
