As a Food Runner, you will play a vital role in supporting the seamless operation of the kitchen and dining areas by ensuring timely delivery of meals that are beautifully prepared, garnished, and true to their intended presentation. By working closely with the expo and service teams, you will help ensure that every plate delivered to guests meets the quality and presentation standards, enhancing their overall dining experience.

The role of Food Runner requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for delivering food orders both in the restaurant and guest rooms promptly, assisting servers with tasks such as rolling silverware and pre-bussing tables, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the expo area. Job Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate strong organizational skills
  • Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative, and a team player
  • Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Possession of a valid Food Handler's card
  • Highly detail orientated with the ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to work on feet for most of the day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with guests and associates in a diplomatic manner
  • Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Deliver food orders to restaurant tables and guest rooms promptly by table and seat number
  • Work closely with the expo to ensure timely and accurate delivery of hot and cold food items
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo area including wiping down surfaces and restocking fridge
  • Assist servers by rolling silverware and pre-bussing tables
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and service team to coordinate guest orders and address any special requests
  • Proactively support the restaurant team by monitoring the expo line activity and keeping areas stocked and clean
  • Respond courteously and efficiently to guest queries and requests to ensure a positive dining experience
