Job Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted throughout any assigned shift

Job Qualifications

  • Understand and follow Health Department regulations, obtaining a Food Handler's Certificate within 10 days of employment
  • awareness of handling allergen-containing products
  • friendly and outgoing personality
  • basic cutlery and cooking skills
  • ability to use kitchen equipment as per specifications
  • prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • read and understand recipes, including extending recipes
  • perform basic math for recipe measurements

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for the salad bar and hot case, ensuring organized and efficient cooking and heating
  • cook and heat prepared foods for service under time and temperature guidelines
  • stock and present the hot case and salad bar in an appealing way throughout the day
  • set up the salad bar, soup station, and hot bar/case within specified time standards
  • maintain a well-stocked service area, handling tasks such as changing pans, labeling, restocking, and cleaning
  • uphold quality food handling standards, including proper preparation, rotation, and storage in compliance with health regulations
  • monitor and maintain proper temperatures in the hot case, recording temperature logs
