- must demonstrate good judgment
- must be pleasant, cooperative and take direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- must exhibit and use good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness
- must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting
- must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to guests, co-workers, and supervisors
Job Duties
- presents self in courteous and professional manner to guests at all times
- checks orders for accuracy prior to serving to ensure food items are as guests ordered (sides, extras, etc.)
- delivers food orders with appropriate garnishments
- delivers food orders timely and, where multiple guests involved, at the same time
- communicates important information to guests (example: hot plate) and servers (example: guest seeking drink from bar)
- responds to guests' requests for condiments or other items
- continually clears away dishes and debris from stations
- has knowledge of table numbers and the physical layout of the restaurant to ensure prompt and proper service to guests
- brings guests' inquiries regarding food allergies to the Manager's attention immediately
- ensures station is suitable for serving and meets company standards
