Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • basic knowledge of food service operations
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays or supplies
  • ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
  • excellent customer service skills
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties

  • Provides friendly, courteous and efficient quality presentation of food and beverage service to all guests
  • knows all table numbers, stations and floor plans
  • assists server as needed in serving beverages and delivering food to tables
  • clears and cleans tables following guest departures
  • checks table condiments and fill if necessary
  • sets table with appropriate utensils and other necessary items
  • assists guests as necessary
  • performs other food service related duties, including general cleaning and set up
  • all other duties as assigned
  • executes service to customers in a timely fashion
  • act as a liaison between management, wait staff, and kitchen personnel to ensure that guests receive their food on a priority basis
  • ensures that all food leaving the kitchen is to The Big Easy standard and reaches the guest promptly
  • assists with food preparation when needed
  • replenishes service lines as necessary
  • reviews production schedule to determine food requirements, including variety and quantity of food for preparation
  • stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at stations to ensure a smooth service period
  • maintains a clean and sanitary work station area
  • closes the kitchen area properly and follows the closing checklist
  • assists others in closing
  • performs other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty
  • all other duties as assigned
