Job Requirements

  • At least 6 months kitchen experience in a high volume establishment
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout assigned restaurant areas during entire shift
  • Must be able to lift trays and bus tubs with heavy items at shoulder level
  • Must be able to clean tables in a timely fashion
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and reach across tables
  • Must be able to push or pull 300 pounds on a cart or dolly
  • Must be able to stoop and bend as necessary
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and under stressful situations
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation

Job Duties

  • Provide quality food and service to guests
  • Ensure hot food from the kitchen is immediately served to guests
  • Ensure all plate presentations meet guidelines for portion, condiments, and plate ware
  • Prioritize hot food at the kitchen window waiting to be served
  • Greet and serve meals to customers ensuring a pleasant dining experience
  • Be familiar with all steps of service servers provide
  • Observe sanitary and safety requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper presentation and temperature of food
  • Ensure consistent flow of food from kitchen to guest in a healthy and sanitary manner
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies
  • Assist with expediting food orders during slow periods
  • Act as a role model to other employees and present oneself as a credit to Harrah's
  • Other duties as assigned
