Job Requirements
- Applicants must be 21 years of age or above

Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years previous work experience as a Food Runner in a lounge/fine-dining restaurant
- Candidates must exhibit basic food and advanced table service knowledge
- High School diploma or above
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and oral
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
- Ability to maintain a clean and hygienic workstation according to health standards
- Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain professionalism, grooming, and a positive attitude
- Knowledge of food menu items, allergens, and food delivery etiquette
- Bilingual language skills are a plus
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner with eye contact and intention
- Communicates the needs of guests to co-workers, kitchen, and management
- Actively participate and contribute to pre-shift meetings
- Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by the room management
- Full knowledge and understanding of all food menu items, specifications, and allergens
- Expedite food from the kitchen to the tables as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef, expeditor, or management
- Is aware of all upcoming orders, status of tables expecting food, and relays this information to the Chefs and Management
- Always verbally communicates and calls back with the expeditor to ensure that food goes to the correct table and position
- Runs, delivers, and spiels food in the manner described in the service manual
- Checks that each table is set with proper silverware before delivering food
- Describe food upon placement on the table and answering any questions pertaining to the dishes (including changes or additions)
- Ensures cleanliness and organization of liquor and beer storage areas
- Ensures proper set up, labeling, stocking and delivery of alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice
- Maintains complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet
- Assists with moving chairs and tables as needed based on the floor plan
- Responsible for performing table maintenance by checking on the guest throughout service
- Completing opening and closing side work
- Maintain health code standards
- Maintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach
- Bid farewell to guests, using guest's name when known, and encourage them to return
- Maintain a level of professionalism
- Anticipate the guests' needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency
- Work as a team, assisting all guests' and employees' needs and inquiries
- Perform all other job-related duties as requested
- Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Full knowledge of designated china and garnishes for all food menu items
- Complete opening, closing, and ongoing side duties not limited to fold/stack napkins, polish glassware, polish silverware, stock glassware, restock china, restock supply cabinets and service stations, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas
- rectify any deficiencies
