Job Requirements
- Ability to transport up to 50 lbs through a crowded room continuously during shift
- Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing up to 100 lbs
- Constant standing and walking required
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
- Maintain neat and professional appearance
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to assist others and perform related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Hold or be in the process of obtaining a current Food Handler Card
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Basic knowledge of English sufficient to understand customer inquiries and communicate simple instructions
- Knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
Job Duties
- Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
- Promptly and consistently reset all service ware as prescribed
- Maintain total cleanliness of restaurant to meet Hotel and Health department standards
- Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods including silverware, linen, and condiments
- Serve guests with beverages, breads, and butter and replenish as necessary
- Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- Fold napkins and roll silverware for meal periods
- Stock and maintain service stations with proper supplies before, during and after shifts
- Assist servers in delivery of orders and pre-busing tables
- Perform other duties as requested including cleaning spills or special guest requests
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures and rules
- Report unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- Assist other restaurant personnel when needed
