Job Requirements

  • Ability to transport up to 50 lbs through a crowded room continuously during shift
  • Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart or truck weighing up to 100 lbs
  • Constant standing and walking required
  • Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling
  • Maintain neat and professional appearance
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to assist others and perform related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Hold or be in the process of obtaining a current Food Handler Card
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • Basic knowledge of English sufficient to understand customer inquiries and communicate simple instructions
  • Knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages

Job Duties

  • Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
  • Promptly and consistently reset all service ware as prescribed
  • Maintain total cleanliness of restaurant to meet Hotel and Health department standards
  • Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods including silverware, linen, and condiments
  • Serve guests with beverages, breads, and butter and replenish as necessary
  • Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
  • Fold napkins and roll silverware for meal periods
  • Stock and maintain service stations with proper supplies before, during and after shifts
  • Assist servers in delivery of orders and pre-busing tables
  • Perform other duties as requested including cleaning spills or special guest requests
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Report unsafe conditions and accidents to supervisor
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Assist other restaurant personnel when needed
