Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalency degree or related experience preferred
  • must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift
  • must have a good sense of balance, be able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, push and pull
  • must be able to frequently lift food and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • position involves repetitive hand and wrist motion

  • exhibits and uses good manners, proper personal hygiene, positive attitude, and promptness
  • must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume restaurant setting
  • must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to guests, co-workers, and supervisors

Job Duties

  • Always presents self in courteous and professional manner to guests
  • checks orders for accuracy prior to serving to ensure food items are as guests ordered including sides and extras
  • delivers food orders with appropriate garnishments
  • delivers food orders timely and, where multiple guests involved, at the same time
  • communicates important information to guests such as hot plate and servers such as guest seeking drink from bar
  • responds to guests requests for condiments or other items
  • continually clears away dishes and debris from stations
  • has knowledge of table numbers and physical layout of the restaurant to ensure prompt and proper service for guests
  • brings guests inquiries regarding food allergies to Manager's attention immediately
  • ensures station is suitable for serving and meets company standards
