Job Requirements

  • Experience in a food service environment is strongly preferred
  • strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • ability to work flexible schedules including holidays, weekends and evenings
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • ability to kneel, push, pull and lift up to 30 lbs
  • willingness to learn menu items and preparation methods

Job Duties

  • Report to the restaurant manager for daily tasks
  • greet and acknowledge guests warmly upon entry
  • maintain sanitation and cleanliness of the food service area
  • assist in storing all deliveries
  • stock condiments and utensils in the beverage area
  • file coffee and teapots
  • know front and back of house, storage area and ice room
  • maintain appearance of patio furniture and manage opening and closing of umbrellas
  • pull in signs and shut down the Food Pavilion
  • know menu pricing, location of items and specials
  • understand how each product is prepared along with its condiments
  • operate all line equipment
  • maintain sanitation and cleanliness at all times
  • exhibit a can do attitude and total cooperation
  • report safety issues and quality or spoilage issues
