Job Requirements

Experience in a food service environment is strongly preferred
strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
ability to work flexible schedules including holidays, weekends and evenings
ability to stand and move for extended periods
ability to kneel, push, pull and lift up to 30 lbs
willingness to learn menu items and preparation methods

Job Duties

Report to the restaurant manager for daily tasks
greet and acknowledge guests warmly upon entry
maintain sanitation and cleanliness of the food service area
assist in storing all deliveries
stock condiments and utensils in the beverage area
file coffee and teapots
know front and back of house, storage area and ice room
maintain appearance of patio furniture and manage opening and closing of umbrellas
pull in signs and shut down the Food Pavilion
know menu pricing, location of items and specials
understand how each product is prepared along with its condiments
operate all line equipment
maintain sanitation and cleanliness at all times
exhibit a can do attitude and total cooperation
report safety issues and quality or spoilage issues
