Job Requirements

  • Must be available for emergency and scheduled work on evenings, weekends, or holidays
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform frequent bending
  • Must pass pre-employment background check
  • Must have valid ID, Social Security card, and valid Mobile County Food and Beverage Handler card or ServSafe certification
  • Non-exempt employment status

Job Duties

  • Waits for orders to come from servers from point-of-sale computers in the dining room into the kitchen, assembles orders in sequence
  • Makes sure the service areas in the kitchen are stocked with condiments and notifies when more is needed
  • Assists servers by delivering courses of food in proper sequence to tables
  • Ensures entire table is served during each course sequence
  • Reads tickets and assembles orders on trays in the kitchen
  • Maintains food temperature by assembling trays with cold food first then hot food
  • Carries trays to dining room and delivers to appropriate table and server
  • Consults with servers regarding course pickups and deliveries
  • Assists banquet personnel with set-up, serving, and clean-up duties
  • Polishes silver service items
  • Attends pre-service training meetings
  • Moves tables and chairs as needed
  • Resets tables for next meal period
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintains regular and prompt attendance
