Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality recommended
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to carry food trays and supplies
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and uniform presentation
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices

Job Duties

  • Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift
  • Run food from the kitchen and deliver food to guest's tables in timely manner
  • Assist with preparing appetizers and assist sous chefs with other food prep
  • Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring crudite, water and bread to the tables
  • Clear table after guests leave, take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing
  • Between seatings, promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths
  • Check floor and clean as required
  • Reset and arrange tabletop
  • Respond immediately and appropriately to guest requests
  • Communicate these requests to server immediately
  • Communicate with server, host and Maitre' D to assure efficient seating, table utilization and guest service
  • Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with larger parties and peak periods
  • Thank guests as they are leaving
  • Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness and immaculate uniform presentation
  • Be a team player
  • help out fellow staff whenever possible
