Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service or management
  • Ability to arrive on time and maintain proper uniform standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of work station
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to interact professionally with members and guests
  • Physical ability to carry trays and stand for long periods
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and checklists

Job Duties

  • Arrive on time and in proper uniform
  • Obtain Food Handlers Certification
  • Maintain a clean station running station surfaces
  • Ensure your station is stocked and member ready including condiments, dressing, napkins, plates, fruit cups
  • Carry a large tray with food from the kitchen to any table in the restaurants
  • Ensure runner station is clean and ready for service
  • Know all table numbers, seat numbers and sections
  • Prepare and place garnishes on the appropriate food items
  • Know menu items
  • Stay on the line, don’t wander off
  • Ensure all dishes match the ticket including modifiers and special requests
  • Ensure that plates are properly garnished and food quality standards are met upon delivery
  • Handle plates carefully
  • Run food quickly to ensure optimal food temperature
  • Deliver the correct food to the correct table number
  • Greet guests professionally at table before serving
  • Communicate between the kitchen and the service staff to ensure quality and accuracy of orders
  • Receive and store food and supplies using proper food handling techniques including stock rotation and monitoring temperatures of perishable products
  • Have a sense of urgency when going to and from the kitchen
  • Interact with members in a friendly manner
  • Follow checklists and standard operating procedures
