Job Requirements

  • Must be pleasant, conscientious, and professional
  • able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
  • knowledge of proper table settings and service ware
  • understanding of food allergies and dietary restrictions
  • ability to follow restaurant policies and procedures
  • able to operate efficiently and maintain a safe dining environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a food service environment preferred
  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • knowledge of food and beverage menu items
  • ability to describe menu items and use suggestive selling techniques
  • basic computational and computer skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team
  • strong customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Delivering food to tables
  • describing dishes to guests
  • performing tableside service
  • monitoring guest satisfaction
  • assisting the kitchen in expediting service
  • maintaining clean and organized workstations
  • participating in pre-shift meetings
  • answering guest questions about the menu and beverages
  • liaising with servers on guest needs
  • adhering to health, safety, and labor regulations
