Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years work experience in a food or lab environment
  • Must have inventory management system experience
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices and cooking skills
  • Willingness to taste different food products for evaluation purposes
  • Operation of specialized lab equipment with training
  • Standing for prolonged periods up to 4 hours continuously
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments including loud noise heat cold wet and slippery conditions and exposure to all food allergens

Job Qualifications

  • Willingness to taste different food products for evaluation purposes
  • Operation of specialized lab equipment with training

Job Duties

  • Assist with bench-top and pilot plant testing including minor culinary tasks such as dicing chopping and cooking in an industrial setting
  • Set up operate sanitize and reassemble lab and kitchen equipment
  • Prepare samples and ingredients for testing manage ordering stocking and inventory
  • Support food scientists with sample preparation and meeting setups
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lab kitchen and storage areas
  • Execute experiments using established procedures and record accurate data
