Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is a plus
- Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Understanding of food safety standards and quality control
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility with scheduling and availability
Job Duties
- Produce, assemble and package products, operating machinery and equipment as necessary for the job
- Perform quality checks and properly handle products to ensure they meet Wegmans food safety and quality standards
- Keep open lines of communication with management and coworkers to effectively resolve issues and keep the operation running smoothly to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Use proper sanitation practices including cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, floors and machinery
- Follow safety protocols and wear provided personal protective equipment
- Monitor production process and report any irregularities
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
