Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years production and cooking experience in a moderate to high volume food service operation
  • Two years experience in a supervisory role at a food service establishment
  • Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) upon hire or Food Protection Manager (FPM) upon hire
  • Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire

  • Associate's degree in Culinary Arts preferred
  • Five years production and cooking experience in a moderate to high volume food service operation
  • Two years experience in a supervisory role at a food service establishment
  • Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) upon hire or Food Protection Manager (FPM) upon hire
  • Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Organize and direct the execution and preparation of patient meals, cafeteria meals, and catering meals
  • Ensure productivity requirements are met in regard to production team
  • Complete and administer annual staff performance evaluations for all production team members
  • Ensure all production team members complete all requirements set by Human Resources and Employee Health
  • Oversee training of all production team members
  • Create appealing and cost-effective menus for special catering events
  • Work with menu design team to create appealing and cost-effective menus for patient services
  • Research and develop recipes for all items on all active menus
  • Oversee, develop, create, implement, and train team members in safe food practices that meet the standards of the department, the organization, governmental regulations, and The Joint Commission
