Job Requirements

  • Education at least associate degree
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • valid New Mexico driver's license
  • UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit obtained within 60 days
  • ServSafe or approved Food Protection Manager Certification within 90 days
  • ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • mod exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials
  • subject to random alcohol and substance testing
  • availability to travel to various work sites
  • ability to perform subordinate tasks under high volume
  • willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends
  • readiness to perform on-call duties
  • subject to annual contract and performance appraisal

Job Qualifications

  • Associate Degree
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • valid New Mexico driver's license
  • UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit within 60 days
  • ServSafe or other NRA approved certification within 90 days
  • related discipline education

Job Duties

  • Develop efficient organizational structure
  • Supervise employees and select, terminate, train, educate, correct deficiencies, perform appraisals, issue discipline, counsel, schedule work assignments
  • Evaluate job performance ensuring timely evaluations and satisfaction of competencies
  • Manage food production system CBORD ensuring proper functionality
  • Manage ordering and track food waste
  • Ensure staff follows recipes and food delivery procedures
  • Maintain highest standards of service and quality
  • Ensure sanitation and safety guidelines are followed
  • Assist director with operational and financial goals
  • Foster supportive working environment promoting cooperation and growth
  • Manage and direct food preparation and distribution
  • Ensure delivery of quality food service
  • Participate in menu development and pricing
  • Serve as liaison to respond and resolve inquiries and complaints
  • Participate in hospital/medical staff meetings and committees
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Develop and administer annual budget
  • Enhance professional growth through educational programs
  • Evaluate and develop service levels for Patient Services Program
  • Ensure CBORD interface with Cerner functions properly
  • Manage high volume patient tray line operation
