Job Requirements
- Education at least associate degree
- 3 years directly related experience
- valid New Mexico driver's license
- UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit obtained within 60 days
- ServSafe or approved Food Protection Manager Certification within 90 days
- ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- mod exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials
- subject to random alcohol and substance testing
- availability to travel to various work sites
- ability to perform subordinate tasks under high volume
- willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends
- readiness to perform on-call duties
- subject to annual contract and performance appraisal
Job Qualifications
- Associate Degree
- 3 years directly related experience
- valid New Mexico driver's license
- UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit within 60 days
- ServSafe or other NRA approved certification within 90 days
- related discipline education
Job Duties
- Develop efficient organizational structure
- Supervise employees and select, terminate, train, educate, correct deficiencies, perform appraisals, issue discipline, counsel, schedule work assignments
- Evaluate job performance ensuring timely evaluations and satisfaction of competencies
- Manage food production system CBORD ensuring proper functionality
- Manage ordering and track food waste
- Ensure staff follows recipes and food delivery procedures
- Maintain highest standards of service and quality
- Ensure sanitation and safety guidelines are followed
- Assist director with operational and financial goals
- Foster supportive working environment promoting cooperation and growth
- Manage and direct food preparation and distribution
- Ensure delivery of quality food service
- Participate in menu development and pricing
- Serve as liaison to respond and resolve inquiries and complaints
- Participate in hospital/medical staff meetings and committees
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
- Develop and administer annual budget
- Enhance professional growth through educational programs
- Evaluate and develop service levels for Patient Services Program
- Ensure CBORD interface with Cerner functions properly
- Manage high volume patient tray line operation
