Job Requirements

  • 5 years of experience working in food manufacturing and production
  • Knowledge of FDA, USDA food and safety regulations and labeling knowledge
  • Knowledge of all of Microsoft Office including Excel preferred
  • Flexible to work different shifts
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work in cold environment (32-37°F)

Job Duties

  • Direct, coordinate and plan facility daily activities to ensure production goals are met in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
  • Oversee production members and ensuring they are inspecting, cutting, washing and packaging products according to company standards
  • Ensure standards of product quality, allergens, equipment and performance are maintained in order to maximize production
  • Make recommendations to upper management about service/purchase of equipment as needed
  • Work together with Plant supervisors and leads to maintain a positive and respectful work environment
  • Handle vacation approval, scheduling, training and grievances process
  • Work with Human Resources to hire, train, and appraise staff effectively
  • Take corrective action as necessary in a timely manner in accordance with company policy
  • Assist in external auditing SQF-Safe Quality Food requirements including various customer / 3rd party audit expectations
  • Perform various other job functions as assigned, like inventory and code management
