- ability to follow detailed recipes and food preparation instructions
- capability to assign tasks to helpers and supervise food prep activities
- knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
- physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- flexibility to rotate through various cooking stations
Job Qualifications

- experience in food preparation or cooking
- knowledge of food safety and sanitary regulations
- ability to operate kitchen equipment
- good organizational and supervisory skills

Job Duties
- Washes, chops, slices, weighs, measures and mixes ingredients and prepares individual portions in accordance with specifications and cooking instructions
- cooks food as assigned following detailed recipes and procedures
- uses all appropriate cooking equipment such as gas ovens, ranges, fryers and various utensils
- assigns a variety of meal preparation tasks to Cook's Helper, such as washing, slicing and mixing ingredients, panning and seasoning foods
- maintains cleanliness, safety and general appearance of cooking stations
- cleans work tables and utensils
- performs above duties at all cooking stations on rotation basis, assists in cold food preparation
- makes recommendations to supervisor regarding status of Baker and Baker's Helper
- performs related duties as required
