Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a food preparation or cooking role preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
  • Basic math skills for measuring ingredients

Job Duties

  • Washes, chops, slices, weighs, measures and mixes ingredients and prepares individual portions in accordance with specifications and cooking instructions
  • Cooks food as assigned following detailed recipes and procedures
  • Uses all appropriate cooking equipment such as gas ovens, ranges, fryers and various utensils
  • Assigns a variety of meal preparation tasks to Cook's Helper, such as washing, slicing and mixing ingredients, panning and seasoning foods
  • Maintains cleanliness, safety and general appearance of cooking stations
  • Cleans work tables and utensils
  • Performs above duties at all cooking stations on rotation basis, assists in cold food preparation
  • Makes recommendations to supervisor regarding status of Baker and Baker's Helper
  • Performs related duties as required
