Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Work experience in school food service or related food service operation desired
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Driver's license
- Food safety and sanitation certification preferred
- Ability to perform moderate physical work including lifting up to 40 pounds
- Willingness to work in a kitchen environment with risk of burns and cuts
- Ability to work 5 hour shifts for 169 days total
Job Qualifications

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong communication skills to engage with students and team members
Job Duties
- Prepare simple recipes
- Peel and cut fresh fruits and vegetables
- Slice meats and craft sandwiches
- Restock serving lines during busy meal periods
- Prepare fresh condiments and dressings
- Maintain knowledge of safety and sanitation practices for food preparation, distribution, and storage
- Serve school-aged children nourishing meals made from scratch
- Wash dishes and perform other food service tasks
- Assist with special diet accommodations
