Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary role
  • Equivalent of 2-3 years of post-high school education or relevant experience
  • Ability to lead and manage a dynamic kitchen team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service
  • Ability to develop menus and control kitchen inventory
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including special events

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary role
  • Equivalent of 2-3 years of post-high school education or relevant experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of food service operations principles and industry practices
  • Skilled at leading teams and managing kitchen challenges
  • Capable of clear verbal and written communication
  • Culinary degree is beneficial but not required

Job Duties

  • Capably managing a team and overseeing kitchen functions
  • Coordinate and supervise culinary tasks while training and managing kitchen staff
  • Monitor daily kitchen operations to facilitate smooth service delivery and uphold quality standards
  • Gauge anticipated food consumption to requisition required food items
  • Develop and standardize menu options, presentation techniques, and quality standards
  • Maintain and operate kitchen equipment properly
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction
  • Assist in the development of junior culinary staff through mentoring and skill sharing
