Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary role
  • Equivalent of 2-3 years of post-high school education or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to manage inventory and budgeting effectively
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Job Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of food service principles and industry practices
  • Skilled at leading teams in a dynamic kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise culinary tasks while training and managing kitchen staff
  • Monitor daily kitchen operations to facilitate smooth service delivery and uphold quality standards
  • Develop menus and recipes, standardize production protocols and establish presentation techniques
  • Plan and price menus to meet budget requirements
  • Maintain and operate kitchen equipment correctly to safeguard performance
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by upholding sanitation and safety standards
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction or demonstrations as required
  • Assist in the development of junior culinary staff by sharing expertise and culinary techniques
