Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary role
  • equivalent of 2-3 years of post-high school education or relevant experience
  • ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • experience in menu development and food cost control
  • commitment to maintaining sanitation and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise culinary tasks while training and managing kitchen staff
  • monitor daily kitchen operations to facilitate smooth service and uphold quality standards
  • develop and standardize menu options and recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • estimate food consumption for proper procurement of ingredients
  • establish presentation techniques and price menus
  • maintain and operate kitchen equipment correctly
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by upholding sanitation and safety standards
  • oversee special catering events and provide culinary demonstrations
  • mentor junior culinary staff by sharing expertise and promoting professional growth
