Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant culinary experience
  • Equivalent post-high school education or relevant experience
  • Ability to lead and manage a culinary team
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage inventory and budgeting processes
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary role
  • Equivalent of 2-3 years of post-high school education or relevant experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of food service principles and industry practices
  • Skilled at leading teams and managing kitchen challenges
  • Capable of clear communication in speaking, reading, and writing

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise culinary tasks while training and managing kitchen staff
  • Monitor daily kitchen operations to facilitate smooth service delivery and uphold quality standards
  • Gauge anticipated food consumption to requisition necessary food items
  • Hand-select and develop menu options and standardize production protocols
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards and plan and price menus
  • Safeguard the performance of kitchen equipment through maintenance and proper operation
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations by upholding sanitation and safety standards
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction or demonstrations as required
  • Assist in developing junior culinary staff by sharing expertise and techniques
