Job Requirements

  • food protection manager certificate or obtain within 90 days of hire
  • bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred
  • minimum of 2 years foodservice experience in food preparation preferred
  • foodservice experience with the elderly in community or healthcare settings preferred
  • minimum of 1 year experience in leading or managing foodservice operations preferred
  • valid BLS certification or higher following American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • food protection manager certificate from an ANSI-accredited training provider meeting ASTM International E2659-09 standard
  • bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred
  • minimum of 2 years foodservice experience in food preparation preferred
  • foodservice experience with the elderly in community or healthcare settings preferred
  • minimum of 1 year experience in leading or managing foodservice operations preferred
  • valid BLS certification or higher following American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines

Job Duties

  • coordinate all food services including breakfast and lunch preparations
  • oversee home meals, center snacks, and special events food preparations
  • supervise daily duties of kitchen staff to ensure compliance with safety and health standards
  • ensure proper food receive, storage, preparation, serving, and disposal
  • maintain records for compliance with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
  • enforce internal policy and regulations
  • provide training and support to foodservice staff
