Job Requirements

  • Food Protection Manager certificate from ANSI-accredited provider or obtained within 90 days
  • Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred depending on site demographics
  • Minimum 2 years foodservice experience preferred
  • Foodservice experience with elderly in community or healthcare settings preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience managing foodservice operations preferred
  • Valid BLS certification under AHA or American Red Cross guidelines
  • Ability to maintain compliance with food safety regulations
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Food Protection Manager certificate from an ANSI-accredited training provider or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • Bilingual ability including English and Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years foodservice experience in food preparation
  • Experience with elderly foodservice in community or healthcare settings preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience leading or managing foodservice operations preferred
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or higher from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all food services including breakfast and lunch preparations
  • Oversee home meal deliveries and center snacks
  • Supervise daily duties of kitchen staff ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Maintain records for compliance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program and other regulations
  • Ensure food is received, stored, prepared, served, and disposed of properly
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to implement guidance and maintain internal policy adherence
  • Organize food services for special events
