Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- One to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be willing to attend and complete Food Manager Certification course
- Availability for 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 1:30 P.M. and 5:30 P.M.
- Ability to work in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and food safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months of related experience or training
- Ability to work professionally with children and adults
- Willingness to complete Food Manager Certification
- Knowledge of food preparation practices
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adhere to food safety standards
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook family-style meals for children, volunteers, and staff
- Follow Head Start Performance Standards
- Comply with State of Minnesota CACFP regulations
- Adhere to county regulations for food licensed sites
- Collaborate professionally with Head Start staff, parents, and children
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Attend and complete Food Manager Certification course
