Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months to 1 year of retail store or food service work experience or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience
- knowledge of basic business and customer service principles including planning and organizing, resource management and leadership skills
- ability to communicate information and ideas clearly
- ability to deal with customers and unexpected problems using standard procedures
- ability to work scheduled shifts including punctuality
- ability to accurately operate various equipment such as beverage dispensers, grills, ovens, fry stations and other machines or tools
- ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described
- ability to work in specified working conditions such as exposure to cold temperatures and occasional noise

Job Duties
- Complies with company guidelines for maximizing sales, profitability and customer service by ensuring all grocery deliveries are accurate, stocked, attractively displayed and priced correctly
- completes build-to's for ordering/purchasing merchandise
- maintains inventory by checking in delivery, pricing items, stocking merchandise according to schematic
- verifies deliveries by checking invoices and resolving discrepancies with Store Manager
- prepares displays by assembling, dating and price marking in-store displays
- rotates food items, monitoring quality and freshness to protect customers
- monitors and maintains food prep areas and display cases
- assists in training new associates with emphasis on excellent customer service
- monitors and organizes inventory to prevent out-of-stock items
- uses and coaches staff on suggestive selling techniques
- makes price changes per company guidelines and places pricing signage
- provides prompt excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly and attentive manner
- greets and thanks customers
- resolves routine customer concerns
- maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures and regulations
- cleans floors, windows, counters, displays, bathrooms
- inspects store facilities and equipment for safety and cleanliness
- cleans and sanitizes food service equipment to protect customers
- notifies Store Manager of inventory or operating discrepancies
- receives and verifies vendor deliveries
- follows guidelines for product breakage or spoilage
- supervises food prep staff in Store Manager's absence
- coaches and trains new employees
- adjusts employee duties and schedules based on traffic and operational needs
- assists with employee counseling and performance feedback
- ensures compliance with laws, health codes and company policies
- assists in maintaining a safe environment and protecting company assets
- reports incidents such as injury, theft or property damage
- attends job-related meetings and complies with company policies
- maintains accurate timekeeping records
- may take inventory of supplies and equipment
- performs other duties as assigned
