Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and improve culinary skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed in the kitchen setting
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the cooking process
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including countertops, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items using appropriate cleaning methods
- Help maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and notify management when stock is low
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
