Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation preferred
  • Familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and attend training sessions
  • Basic knowledge of food handling regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve meals for lunch and dinner service as well as brunch on Sundays as instructed by the lead chef in a timely manner
  • Rotate through various stations to perform different tasks on the line
  • Work in conjunction with other line cooks and kitchen staff to ensure food is rotated on schedule from freezers and walk-ins to prep areas then on to the line for cooking
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment at all times by observing kitchen rules and the chef's personal requirements
  • Ensure that all cooking, prep, and food handling areas and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized at the end of every workday
  • Attend required training classes to augment cooking skills as required by the team of chefs
  • Familiarize yourself with proper food handling regulations as well as contamination controls
  • Able to work nights and weekends as well as some holidays
