Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food service or kitchen operations
- Ability to read and understand policies and procedures
- Ability to supervise and train inmates or staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Willingness to undergo background investigation and drug screening
- Effective communication and leadership skills
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and supervise the work of others
- Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and cost controls
- Ability to operate and repair food service equipment
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook
- Prior experience in food service supervision preferred
Job Duties
- Supervise the activities of inmates in the preparation and serving of meals for the population and staff
- Train inmates in all kitchen policies and procedures
- Maintain a high standard of food safety, sanitation and quality in a cost-efficient manner
- Monitor and supervise the work of food service staff and inmates
- Ensure compliance with institutional regulations and health codes
- Operate and repair food service equipment
- Implement cost controls related to food service operations
