Job Description

Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Operations Manager 2 to join their team at Hampshire College, an independent liberal arts institution located in Amherst, Massachusetts. Hampshire College is a member of the Five College consortium and serves approximately 900 residential undergraduate students. The college offers a vibrant campus life supported by full and partial meal plans, two retail dining operations, year-round catering, and summer conference services. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years management experience
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and exhibit flexibility
  • Professional communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Proficiency in computer skills and report management

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years management experience in food or culinary services
  • Prior supervisory experience and employee engagement leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Food Management Systems
  • Proficiency in computer skills and report management

Job Duties

  • Oversee resident dining, retail, catering, and summer conference services daily operations
  • Ensure operational food quality, service delivery, and guest experience meet standards set by our client partners and Sodexo
  • Encourage student and community engagement through marketing programs, collaborations with Hampshire departments and support dining team members in customer service training, event management and daily operations
  • Support the General Manager with meeting financial performance through daily decision making and accountability, May assist with financial reporting on daily, weekly and monthly process
  • Maintain exceptional client relations, serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to campus leadership
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo standards, regulatory requirements, and all food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Champion a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented workplace culture
