Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum two years management experience in high-volume food service operations preferably in hospital or institutional setting
  • minimum two years of work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants fast food vending catering services institutional services
  • strong union management experience
  • flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and schedules
  • ability to motivate staff and lead change initiatives
  • availability to work an 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule with weekend coverage as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum two years management experience in high-volume food service operations
  • minimum two years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants fast food vending catering services institutional services
  • strong union management experience
  • proven ability to motivate staff and champion operational improvements
  • comfort with technology such as patient meal systems and reporting software
  • experience working in hospital or healthcare food service settings preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage comprehensive kitchen operations including tray line meal delivery and tray retrieval
  • oversee diet office operations ensuring accurate meal ordering and nutritional compliance
  • interact with Patient Experience Managers to maintain high patient satisfaction
  • oversee union frontline staff including payroll and scheduling
  • lead change management initiatives to implement new operational processes
  • develop and maintain effective relationships with nursing teams and interdisciplinary staff
  • manage operational administrative functions including payroll and reporting software
