Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior cooking or kitchen experience required
  • must be able to obtain food safety certification
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines
  • strong attention to hygiene and cleanliness
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical capability to handle lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • ability to perform physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook a selection of foods based on production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • establish the work area with all needed tools and ingredients
  • measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items for cooking preparation
  • safely use a variety of utensils including knives
  • manage tools such as ovens, stovetops, cutting appliances, blenders, and similar items
  • apply cooking techniques such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare ingredients
  • order, embellish, and allocate food according to established rules
  • store food complying with safety regulations and procedures
  • clean and sterilize work environments, equipment, and tools
  • maintain a strong focus on customer service and display a welcoming attitude
  • ensure strict adherence to safety policies and food sanitation standards
  • preserve confidentiality of company belongings
