Job Requirements

  • College degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with judgement and discretion of food quality
  • Experience in sales preferred
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in MS Office and database management
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to meet goals and organize work efficiently
  • Detail oriented and timely in producing reports
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff and volunteers
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record

Job Qualifications

  • College degree in a relevant field such as Food Service Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Food Science, or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience in business development, account management, sales management, brand management, or operations management
  • Experience with judgement and discretion of food quality
  • Experience in sales preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in computer applications such as MS Office and database management, Salesforce preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to meet goals, organize work, time, and self
  • Detail oriented, timely and accurate in producing reports
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other staff and volunteers
  • Ability to present a professional demeanor under various conditions
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Valid Texas driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving record

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all aspects of in-kind food donations and related products acquisition including researching and developing relationships with food industry donors and prospects under direction
  • Analyze productivity of food industry donors using the inventory management system and create reports and graphs to track trends
  • Meet or exceed goals in pounds acquired from food industry partners as set by leadership
  • Conduct in-person visits with current, prospect, and lapsed donors to ensure donation program guidelines are understood and implemented
  • Coordinate with the Transportation Manager on the pick-up and delivery of donations secured
  • Provide tours of the Food Bank campus and attend and speak at donor meetings and training sessions
  • Implement an ongoing donor recognition program through thank you letters and other appropriate means
  • Prepare regular written status reports on product donation activities
  • Comply with all personnel policies and accept additional duties as assigned
  • Travel in and out of state for conferences as directed
