Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to stand 85 to 100 percent of the shift
  • ability to bend, stoop, crouch frequently
  • able to push and pull up to 250 lbs
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • able to lift up to 40 lbs overhead
  • able to carry up to 25 lbs for up to 10 feet
  • ability to work in conditions of extreme heat
  • fine motor skills sufficient for writing and use of small utensils
  • ability to work flexible hours including Thursday through Wednesday shifts
  • willingness to complete online application with resume and cover letter

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
  • perform simple math
  • use a calculator and food thermometer
  • communicate clearly
  • familiarity with food preparation techniques
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • previous experience in food service helpful but not required

Job Duties

  • Set up counters, salad bars, soup bars, etc.
  • serve customers
  • maintain portion control and fill out appropriate paperwork for computerized Food Services Program
  • clean and prepare ingredients to make salads, mix salad dressings and place salads on plates
  • make French fries, hot and cold sandwiches, coffee, cook eggs, omelets, burgers, etc.
  • slice meat, cut cake, pie, etc. and place on plates
  • keep counters, steam tables, shelves, and equipment clean
  • be familiar with products and ingredients used in menu items
  • observe safety and health regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation
  • work as a waiter or waitress as required
