Job Description
The Food Delivery Driver role at Jimmy John's is a vital part of the restaurant's service team. Drivers are tasked with the responsibility of delivering sandwiches safely and efficiently within the designated delivery area. A typical shift includes accurately checking all food items to ensure they meet the company's strict quality standards before delivery. Job Requirements
- Must be able to communicate, read and write the English language fluently and clearly
- Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and moving about the unit the entire workday
- Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record
- All drivers are solely responsible to provide their own vehicle and will not be offered a company vehicle for deliveries
- Drivers must have an insurance plan that covers business use (you are required to inform your insurance company that the vehicle will be used for deliveries and not just for personal use)
Job Qualifications

- Must be at least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Take phone orders and complete delivery tickets in a courteous and timely manner
- Deliver sandwich orders to customers in a safe, courteous and timely manner in the established delivery area only
- Accept payment from customers for orders
- Work with management at the end of the shift to reconcile cash from delivery sales
- Make fast, accurate and consistent sandwiches
- Comply with all portion sizes, recipes, and all systems and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including all tables, floors, windows, beverage station, restroom, etc
- Greet customers and take orders, operate cash register, collect payment from customers and make change
- Fill out systems and procedures with 100 percent accuracy and integrity
- Maintain professional appearance at all times in compliance with the Jimmy John's Dress Code
- Display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments
- Perform other related duties as required
