Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ experience in country club or restaurant/hospitality management
- strong experience in food and beverage and banquet management
- ability to read and speak English
- knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- ability to work in outdoor weather conditions occasionally
- ability to stand, walk, and sit regularly
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- regular and reliable attendance
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- five years related experience and/or training
- or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read and speak English to perform job duties
- knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Job Duties
- Strong background in food and beverage operations and ability to work closely with Executive Chef
- plans, develops and approves specific operational policies, programs, procedures and methods
- responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates
- addressing complaints and resolving problems
- participates in the booking, planning and managing of Member Functions and Banquets
- ensures the highest standards for food, beverage, meeting rooms, entertainment and other Club services
- establishes and monitors compliance with Troon Golf Procurement purchasing policies and procedures
- handles emergencies, accidents and breaches of security or clubhouse rules promptly and in person
- emphasizes prevention through training, inspection and preventive enforcement
- convenes and presides over meetings with staff
- gives direction to and works closely with vendors, outside contractors, firms and individuals providing products and services to the Club
- regular and reliable attendance
