Job Requirements
- Full-time availability for 12 weeks during Summer 2026
- based in the Bay Area
- paid internship at $19.18 per hour
- enrollment in college or recent associate or bachelor's degree completion
- ability to work in a fast-paced digital news environment
- portfolio of work or links to previous projects included with application

- currently enrolled in college or recent graduate
Job Duties
- Receive training and mentoring from editors and colleagues across departments
- work and train within a cohort of more than a dozen summer interns
- report and write news articles for the Chronicle and SFChronicle.com reflecting the diversity of Bay Area's restaurant, bar, and winery scene
- cover restaurant and bar openings and closings along with other food- and drink-related news
- learn and contribute to social media operations and multimedia storytelling
- participate in team brainstorming sessions
- assist food critics with on-the-ground reporting work
