Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience preferred
- minimum one year experience working with the public in customer service
- requires Serve Safe Food Protection Manager Certification or ability to obtain within six months
- knowledge of or ability to learn diet therapy related to food selection and modified diets
- ability to use computer, laptop, tablet, and cell phones
- strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- oversees meal service to patients in a professional and efficient manner
- instructs patients on meal ordering system
- utilizes technology to place bedside patient orders or telephone orders
- ensures accuracy and accountability of patient trays with special diet needs
- documents food intake to support nutrition care
- communicates effectively with patients and clinical staff
- manages food preference data and updates orders accordingly
