Job Requirements

  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Dietitians Affiliated Credentialing Board in Wisconsin
  • ServSafe certification for safe handling of food
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without DOC sponsorship
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and fingerprinting
  • Availability for hybrid work schedule
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Job Qualifications

  • Experience supervising, leading, and overseeing the work of others
  • Experience developing and implementing food and nutrition management policies and procedures
  • Experience consulting staff on medical and food service standards
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and updating complex modified diet programs
  • Proficiency with management software such as Computrition, food nutritional software, and Electronic Health Records
  • Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Dietitians Affiliated Credentialing Board in Wisconsin
  • ServSafe certification for safe food handling

Job Duties

  • Provide department-wide technical assistance on food programs
  • Consult and provide dietitian services for Division of Adult Institutions and Division of Juvenile Corrections
  • Establish and implement food and nutrition program policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, medical standards, and food service requirements
  • Direct and monitor modified diet programs for residents with medical or religious dietary needs
  • Serve as subject matter expert for the Department's Food Management Program
  • Assist with administration of food contracts
  • Facilitate annual training for food service management staff
  • Oversee compliance with sanitation and safety standards including food temperature controls
  • Provide oversight to National School Lunch and Breakfast Program and After School Snack Program
