Job Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Dietitians Affiliated Credentialing Board in Wisconsin
- ServSafe certification for safe handling of food
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without DOC sponsorship
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Successful completion of criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Availability for hybrid work schedule
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Job Qualifications
- Experience supervising, leading, and overseeing the work of others
- Experience developing and implementing food and nutrition management policies and procedures
- Experience consulting staff on medical and food service standards
- Experience developing, reviewing, and updating complex modified diet programs
- Proficiency with management software such as Computrition, food nutritional software, and Electronic Health Records
- Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Dietitians Affiliated Credentialing Board in Wisconsin
- ServSafe certification for safe food handling
Job Duties
- Provide department-wide technical assistance on food programs
- Consult and provide dietitian services for Division of Adult Institutions and Division of Juvenile Corrections
- Establish and implement food and nutrition program policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies, medical standards, and food service requirements
- Direct and monitor modified diet programs for residents with medical or religious dietary needs
- Serve as subject matter expert for the Department's Food Management Program
- Assist with administration of food contracts
- Facilitate annual training for food service management staff
- Oversee compliance with sanitation and safety standards including food temperature controls
- Provide oversight to National School Lunch and Breakfast Program and After School Snack Program
