Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- SERVsafe certification or equivalent food safety certification
- Relevant experience in food service or dietary operations preferred
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to carry out verbal and written directions
- Availability to work specified full-time shifts including days and some evenings
- Commitment to follow health and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess SERVsafe certification with Food Handler level II or similar food safety certification per state requirement
- Previous experience in long-term care preferred but not required
- Previous cooking and supervisory experience preferred
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
Job Duties
- Assist the Food and Nutrition Services Director in the operation of the Food Service Department
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling for food service personnel
- Manage food ordering and inventory to ensure adequate supplies
- Prepare and deliver meals according to resident care plans and physician orders
- Ensure compliance with food safety, kitchen sanitation, and infection control policies
- Supervise and cook food service staff as needed
- Adhere to all health, safety, and regulatory standards applicable to the community
