Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • SERVsafe certification or equivalent food safety certification
  • Relevant experience in food service or dietary operations preferred
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to carry out verbal and written directions
  • Availability to work specified full-time shifts including days and some evenings
  • Commitment to follow health and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess SERVsafe certification with Food Handler level II or similar food safety certification per state requirement
  • Previous experience in long-term care preferred but not required
  • Previous cooking and supervisory experience preferred
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately

Job Duties

  • Assist the Food and Nutrition Services Director in the operation of the Food Service Department
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling for food service personnel
  • Manage food ordering and inventory to ensure adequate supplies
  • Prepare and deliver meals according to resident care plans and physician orders
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, kitchen sanitation, and infection control policies
  • Supervise and cook food service staff as needed
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and regulatory standards applicable to the community
