Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field or equivalent experience
- Registered Dietitian or Serve Safe or Certified Dietary Manager certification upon hire
- minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- strong knowledge of food service principles and healthcare regulations
- proficiency in communication and leadership skills
- ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- customer service orientation
- familiarity with healthcare budgeting
- ability to use essential software and applications
- excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or food service management or equivalent education/experience
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification or Serve Safe Certified (SS) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) at hire
- minimum of 8 years relevant recent experience
- knowledge of food service administration within healthcare
- understanding of high-volume food production and therapeutic diets
- familiarity with Joint Commission, Title 22, state, federal, and local regulations affecting dietary services
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- interpersonal skills with ability to deliver presentations
- leadership skills with credible presence
- proficiency with essential software and applications
- understanding of budgetary and healthcare financial environment
- excellent organizational and time management skills
- demonstrated customer service focus
- ability to build effective working partnerships
Job Duties
- Manage dietary service operations
- implement training programs for dietary staff
- assure adherence to policies and procedures governing dietetic services
- oversee provision of safe, satisfying, and nutritionally adequate food for patients
- supervise menu formulation, food preparation, and service
- handle purchasing, sanitation standards, and safety practices
- manage human resources activities including staffing and personnel utilization
- ensure compliance with county, state, and federal regulations and standards
- promote patient and customer satisfaction and good public relations
- develop and enforce quality and productivity standards
- monitor budgetary and financial aspects of dietary services
- deliver presentations and communicate effectively with management and staff
- resolve operational issues through tactical and analytical planning
- maintain effective working partnerships with employees and leaders
